M ART LAB – MALIN STENHOLM & ÅSE WALLBERG
M ART LAB Malin and Åse are two members of the Nordic Jazzdance Collective M Art Lab, specialized in Matt Mattox Freestyle Technique. M Art Lab develops jazz dance as an independent, contemporary art form through the technique and at the same time makes the roots of jazz visible. The productions are created with the interest of making the art of dance avaliable and social by, for example, site specific performances, artist talks and fika or collaborations with other art forms.
IN CLASS Through technical exercises, improvisation, dance phrases, and choreography, we play with, calibrate, and develop musicality, jazz-specific movement qualities, coordination, and dynamics. The class is based on the Mattox technique but is suitable for you whether or not you have previous experience with the technique.
