IN CLASS I teach a dynamic Release, and Modern based class using choreographic phrases to warm up the body systemically; centre, floor, jumps, traveling, and phrases, with a variety of music. There are a many elements in my class from the numerous teachers, choreographers and dancers I have worked, performed and sweated with, throughout my career. I like to work with a mixture of form and structure, whilst working towards fluidity, strength (in its various incarnations), and openness. My class is, hopefully, a place where people can work to where they feel comfortable, and challenge themselves as they see fit – with some gentle positive energy from me! I like to encourage and to search with people to find creative openness and a sense of training and practice. I am really interested in my classes being places where dancers of all ages feel welcomed and empowered. I am looking forward to dancing with the fantastic dancers at DCV and meeting you!
