V18 Daglig Träning/Daily Training
By working with another body, we will discover our own
Onsdag 10:15-11:45

BY WORKING WITH ANOTHER BODY, WE WILL DISCOVER OUR OWN
A class for all bodies who want to explore the potential of dancing together. It takes inspiration from various training techniques and my process when I am working with actors on theatre stage. The session involves a warm-up for both body and mind (contact, somatics, sensation, activation, awareness), and then progresses through a series of games and exercises that form improvised duos and group dances.

Participants from all disciplines and backgrounds are warmly welcome.

SOLEDAD HOWE
Soledad Howe is a dancer, choreographer, movement director, and teacher. She graduated from Balettakademien and, since 2000, has worked as a freelance dancer and choreographer in numerous theatres across Sweden, collaborating with various choreographers and directors.

Her career includes performances at renowned venues such as Dramaten, Göteborgs Stadsteater, Backa Theatre, Riksteatern, Angereds Theatre, Unga Klara, Atalante, and Skogen. Soledad is also one of the artistic directors of the art collective Mold, which creates site- and situation-specific works based on audience participation.

She co-manages Katten Konstgrupp alongside choreographer Fredrika Byman Moberg and composer and artist Malin Dahlström from the band Niki & the Dove. Her work often explores themes of vulnerability and the negotiation between fiction and factuality, typically with a raw, suggestive aesthetic, often centered around a particular situation.

Most recently, Soledad’s choreography has been featured in Suzanne Ostens “Konspiration: Falla ur tiden” and “Fenix” at Dramaten, “Publiken” and “I Annas garderob” at Göteborgs Stadsteater, “Flygräddare” at Unga Klara, and “Ett självmords anatomi” at Malmö Stadsteater.

She has also appeared as an actress in Backa “Vilda inuti,” as a dancer in “Närheten” at Riksteatern, and choreographed “The Vivian Girls” at Göteborgs Stadsteater, “Vi som ärvde” at Angereds Teater, and “Monsieur Venus” at Folkteatern Göteborg.

Soledad was a former member of Spinn Dance Co, a company consisting of dancers with and without disabilities. She currently divides her time between her own work and commissioned projects for some of Sweden’s largest theatres.

Additionally, she teaches movement at the theatre education program at Nordiska folkhögskolan.
