IN CLASS Michael Langeneckert’s contemporary training is based on 35 years of experience as a professional dancer, choreographer and teacher. It deals with floor work technique, researching and developing individual possibilities and the perception of the body in space. The warm-up phase takes place in open structures and defined processes, which alternate with body work and the exploration of elementary movement possibilities. The goal of the class is to develop a constant flow of movement, use body weight in a variety of ways, and use gravity and momentum to drive our movements. In the end, the aim is to achieve a permeable, energetic and dynamic quality of movement. Each session culminates in various choreographies in which the experiences gained during the training are put to a complex application in space.
