Bio:
MIKE GAMBLE (US) has a diverse dance background training in West African, Hip Hop, Modern, Jazz, House, Breaking and Capoeira. He was a company member of Marshall Dance Company, has guest performed with Gwendolyn Bye and Dance Del Bello dance companies and was active in the LA commercial industry performing in and choreographing music videos and commercials including work with artists including Leela James, Chris Cornell, Panic! At The Disco, and India Arie and with companies including Target, Nike, Apple/iPod and Reebok. During his time in Sweden he’s been seen performing and choreographing on stages including GöteborgsOperan, Malmö Opera, Det Ny Teater in Copenhagen and Den Kungliga Dramatiska Teatern in Stockholm.
Class description:
This week we are getting back into the VIBE – rediscovering our relationship to the music and how it influences and helps define our technique. Whether we are training technique fundamentals, across the floor combinations, or choreography, without the music we are just doing steps, and where is the fun [dance] in that?! Everything line, position, accent, dynamic, feeling, emotion is all in the music. Come and get back to the pulse of your dance practice and execution. It’s a VIBE…!
