Bio:
RACHEL MCNAMEE was born in Vancouver, Canada and trained at Arts Umbrella Dance. Upon graduating in 2014, she worked for Nederlands Dans Theater for four years. She joined GöteborgsOperans Danskompani in 2018 and has worked there since. Currently on leave from the company, she is freelancing as a performer, teacher, and artistic collaborator.
Class description:
IN CLASS Using the rigour and known structure of ballet, the class invites you to inhabit your own choice making within the technique. The class will encourage dynamics in the body, finding clarity and strength in softness, and a joyful approach to your daily practice. We will be dancing to music from various genres to foster these ideas.
