Project presentation & open forum about international collaboration projects

ilDance’s producer Hanna Magdalena Gödl will present the ‘Dancing Histor(y)ies’ project and speak about the Artistic Partners’ role in it. In collaboration with local communities, new contemporary, site-specific dance works are created which are shown at festivals organized by institutional partners in the five heritage sites of Serbia, Spain, Italy and Greece. After the presentation, we will open up the conversation to speak about international collaborations and their significance for independent artists, the challenges that come with it as well as the possibilities they create.

‘Dancing Histor(y)ies, Binding Communities and Heritage Through Dance’ is a European project that aims to connect communities and cultural heritage through dance. The project, financed under the “Creative Europe” program, focuses on promoting archaeological sites through performing arts and aims to identify an innovative, effective and sustainable model for promoting cultural heritage and by actively involving local communities in artistic production and new experiences of cultural heritage. The project intends to create a common and adaptable general model to be disseminated at the European level, which aims to combine the tangible cultural heritage with the intangible heritage of local communities and their stories, fused through the creativity of dance.
